Getting Started on Digital Boost as a Mentee

How do I create an account if I want to access mentors, the library or attend workshops?

Creating a Digital Boost account is easy. Simply click “Book a free call” or “Sign up” on our landing page. We encourage you to book a 1-to-1 mentoring call first. After selecting your mentors simply add your email address, a safe password and agree to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy to create an account.

Is Digital Boost free?

Absolutely. Digital Boost is a charity and a volunteering platform. It is 100% free for our organisational users. The costs of our providing services is covered by partnering with corporates and governments.

How do I update my profile?

When you book a call, you will be asked your organisation's information and these will be saved and autofilled every time you book a call. To change it, simply edit it when you book a call and you can update your organisation info.

1-to-1 Mentoring Calls

What is a 1-to-1 mentoring call?

With 1-to-1 Mentoring Calls you can speak with a digital expert 1-to-1 on a subject you would like some help with. The mentor will provide you with practical help and advice. 1-to-1 Mentoring Calls are 60 minutes long, free and unlimited, as long as you continue to adhere to our community code of conduct guidelines.

How do I book a 1-to-1 Mentoring Call?

Booking a 1-to-1 Mentoring Call is simple. Press “Book a free call” or “Signup” on our landing page or simply press here (link to booking flow). First select your mentors based on the learning subjects you need help with. Next, fill out your details and availability for the call. Double check your entries and simply confirm your call request. You will receive a confirmation email of your call request. This is not a call confirmation email, but only an email to confirm with you that we have received your call request.

How do I know my 1-to-1 Mentoring Call request has been confirmed?

We will send all of your selected mentors a call request with your details in it. If one of your selected mentors accepts your call request we will send you a confirmation email with the call details.

How do I join a 1-to-1 Mentoring Call?

To join a 1-to-1 Mentoring Call simply press the “Join Call” button in the call confirmation or reminder emails at your scheduled time. 

Boost Workshops/Seminars

What are Boost Workshops?

Workshops are interactive webinars for you on a relevant digital skill led by one of our volunteers to help you achieve your learning goals in one of the 46 digital subjects covered by our service. The webinars are limited in number so make sure to register as soon as we send you an email about them - or recommend a colleague who you think might benefit!

How do I know when Boost Workshops are happening?

We send you emails announcing upcoming Workshops. Once you have  registered for a Workshop we will send you a confirmation email and reminder emails so that you do not miss it.

How do I join a Boost Workshop?

To join a Workshop keep a look out for our email announcing upcoming Workshops. If you would like to join one of our Workshops simply press the register button in the email. We will send you a confirmation email and several reminder emails so that you do not miss it.

How can I ask a question in a Boost Workshop?

The workshops take place on Demio, a third party video conferencing platform we have integrated our service with. Attendees are not able to talk or to turn on their camera throughout the workshops to ensure attendee anonymity. To ask a question simply pose a written one in the chat window. The speaker will respond to those questions either at the end or throughout the presentation. Usually, there are 30 minutes for Q&A at the end of the talk.

The Resource Library is an extensive and high quality learning content library featuring content from our partners that is available for free to you. The learning contents range from articles, videos to online courses and more. Is the Resource Library free to use?

The Resource Library is 100% free for our organisational users due to the generosity of partners, who usually would charge for access to these materials or courses.

Managing Your Account

How do I delete my Digital Boost account?

We are sorry to see you leave us, you can delete your account and all related data by sending a request email to contact@digitalboost.org.uk. All your data will be deleted according to GDPR regulations.
